Bankers Advisory, Inc. is a Massachusetts corporation headquartered in Belmont, Massachusetts. The company employs over 50 qualified mortgage industry experts, including 9 full time staff attorneys and mortgage underwriters. Founded in 1986 by Anna DeSimone, Bankers Advisory serves over 100 banks and mortgage lenders nationally including depository institutions with assets over $180 billion. SOC 1 and SSAE 16 certified, the company employs the strictest possible IT safeguards to protect confidential consumer information.

2012
Bankers Advisory reaches an audit level of 250,000 mortgage files for post-funding quality control and default loans. The firm has completed fair lending assessments on more than 10,000 loan files utilizing the firm's proprietary software in accordance with the Interagency Guidelines for Self Assessment, now adopted by the CFPB.

Bankers Advisory celebrates its 25th anniversary serving the financial services industry.

Bankers Advisory begins providing state compliance rule summaries and authors the full range of policy and procedure manuals for AllRegs®.

DeSimone authors International Mortgage Banking, distributed by Fannie Mae and Anderson Consulting to consultants throughout the world.

Anna DeSimone is a guest on Dr. Joyce Brothers “Healthy Living” television show as an expert on reverse mortgages and a regular commentator on Bloomberg News radio.

Anna DeSimone writes and co-anchors two financial educational videos for seniors at HBO Studios in New York, with New York Times best-selling author, Stephen Pollan.

Bankers Advisory contributes to Discover Gold through homeowner education series published by Freddie Mac.
1994
Fair Lending Resource Guide is authored by Anna DeSimone. The book is commissioned by President Clinton’s White House Executive Order for mandatory distribution to 3,000 lenders nationwide to help end discrimination in mortgage lending. Published by the MBA of America, the educational materials also include a trainer’s guide.
1992
DeSimone publishes the first of many training manuals and resource guides through the Mortgage Bankers Association of America.

Fannie Mae acquires Bankers Advisory’s software trademark, The Desktop Underwriter®.
1990
The company's mortgage and home-equity calculation program is installed in numerous community banks throughout the U.S. and in 300 retail branches of BayBank, a New England regional bank.

Bankers Advisory's mortgage pre-qualification software trademark, The Desktop Underwriter®, is registered with the United States Patent Office.
